Team captains/managers/organisers are asked to inform all their players, especially casual/new ones that physical threats, gender and racial abuse is not tolerated in our competition. All participants are representing their Government Department whilst participating in the PSFA Competition and are bound by the Public Service Code of Conduct. Participants from non-Government Departments are asked to consider the Public Service Code of Conduct as a condition of their participation in the PSFA Competition.

Team captains/managers/organisers must instruct all participants to respect the facilities which the PSFA has booked to run the competition. All participants must adhere to the rules and conditions under which the PSFA Competition is granted access to venues and facilities.
Any misconduct by participants, ultimately impacts on the PSFA’s ability to run the competition.
Teams whose participants are found to have breached this condition will be banned from playing any further matches at the affected venues. Should access to one or more venues be withdrawn from the PSFA competition, due to the action(s) of any team’s participants, that team will be removed from the Competition immediately.

The fixture is initially published via email, forwarded to each team’s organiser. The fixture, ladder, and match results are also available on-line on the Capital Football website.
A link is made available closer to the start of the season.

Matches can be postponed by mutual agreement but, please contact the PSFA well ahead of match day, if possible. ACT Sportsground cancellations need two full business days’ notice and ANU Sport need three business days’ notice. Bookings at RMC can be affected by military operations. We normally get notified but, the armed forces have priority over these fields.

Match results must be emailed to result@psfa.org.au within 24 hours of match completion.

This is a good opportunity to agree on the length of the match, should a late kick-off occur. Make sure that both halves are of equal length, with a break of up to 5 minutes. Booking conditions at ANU Sport venues mean that additional fees are levied against the PSFA if the match is not finished by 1:30pm.

It is a requirement of our affiliation with CF, that shin-pads be worn for your protection as they minimise the risk of injury. Football boots are strongly recommended.

To reduce the risk of injury to self and others, players are asked not to slide on the ground as they attempt to retrieve or gain control of the ball. A slide tackle does not require another player to be involved for it to be deemed as such. Repeat offenders are required to take a five-minute break on the sidelines.

Avoid any contact with the goalkeeper to reduce risk of injury to self or to the keeper.

The bonus point is awarded irrespective of the match result. Teams can request the bonus point up to one week following completion of their match. The opposition’s captain/manager/organiser must be informed when the bonus point is being requested.
Bonus points will be awarded for a maximum of up to six matches during the season.

All matches during the Finals’ Series are officiated by accredited Capital Football referees.
Teams are required to assist by providing a linesman each for the duration of the match.
If anyone offers to take on the responsibility of refereeing during the regular season, please assist them with their calls and respect their decisions.
